Our History
Tri-County Regional Development Council was founded in 1988. Executive Order No. 49 was signed September 18th, 1969, dividing the state into eight economic regions. The goal of this order was to improve economic conditions for state and local governments through the regional grouping of counties. Region One was established under this order, including the counties of Divide, Mckenzie and Williams. In 1996 Tri-County was established as we know it today. The board of directors is made up of city and county representatives from the three counties.
