The purpose of the Tri-County Regional Development Council is to be responsive to the needs of local governments and other development interests that further the continued progress of the region. This is accomplished by providing guidance and assistance in problem solving, information sharing, partnership building and advocating local government needs with local, regional, state and federal entities. By providing professional staff to work as partners with local governments and other non-profit organizations, these goals are achieved in the most effective and efficient manner.
We are available to provide technical assistance or complete grant applications for local political subdivisions and public non-profit organizations. The Council's team is experienced in writing state and federal grant proposals. We can assist in targeting the right funds, writing effective proposals and completing grants management.
We have been designated a "Economic Development District" by U.S. Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration (EDA). This partnership with EDA provides us with ongoing planning assistance that supports the formulation and implementation of effective local economic development strategies and programs.
In some cases, local governments and non-profit organizations do not have the experience, staff, or training needed to assure the proper administration of public funds. Our team is made up of specialists in the administration of public grants, both state and federal. We can provide support that aids in the start-up and/or development of emerging opportunities for the region by acting as the interim or permanent fiscal agent.
